Description

The box of a rectangular shape decorated with very intricate filigree silver scrolling designs over gold plated silver lining. The base is also decorated with various scrolling and floral designs the centre is decorated with four circles probably influenced by the Ottoman three dots (chintemani) motif, which was very popular in the 16-17th centuries and was used beyond the Ottoman Empire to Europe.
