Description
Of a round form with sloping sides, painted in golden brownish lustre over cream tin-glaze earthenware. The front of the charger is painted with a band of alternating palmettes or vain leaves and oval shaped medallions outlined with underglaze cobalt blue colour amidst scrolling floral motifs, the raised central boss decorated with the brilliant sun motif or a large flower head.
The reverse of the charger is decorated at the centre with a serrated wheel shape motif surrounded by bands of circles or waves, the borders are decorated with a slightly spaced circles and stylised leaves and scrolls.
